Chestnut Stallion
Property of
Catherston Stud, UK
Catherston Springsteen is one of the most exciting horses Catherston Stud as bred to date.
He is an eye-catching horse with tremendous presence, a beautiful head and neck, with
good length of rein. His paces are bold, expressive, and elevated.

His sire,
Dutch Dream, in an extremely well-bred horse by Dutch Gold out of a mare by
Donauwind (sire of Abdullah). Dutch Dream carries both dressage and jumping lines in his
pedigree and has proved to be producing wonderful movers as well as jumpers and
eventers. Dutch Dream, renamed Power Pack, was gelded at six year and is now an
Advanced Dressage Horse here in the US.

Springsteen's dam, Our Spring Fancy, was herself a Grade B showjumper, by the Dutch sire
Saks, out of Spring Fever, an Interational Show Jumper and winner of the Queen Elizabeth
Cup. She bred Catherston Gold Spring (by Dutch Gold), a successful eventer; Catherston
Double Spring (by Dutch Courage), a winner in the dressage arena and dam of winners;
Catherston Spring Edition (by Edison), an Advanced dressage horse; and Catherston
Saxaphone (by Sportsnight), also an Advanced dressage horse.

Catherston Springsteen has extraordinary temperament and lovely manners both in and out
of the stable. With these qualities and his fantastic paces, he's developing into a very high
class stallion for dressage. Springsteen is also a very bold and careful jumper, and should
not be discounted as a sire of eventers and show jumpers.

In 2005, Catherston Springsteen, with Emilie Faurie in the saddle, contested his first Prix St.
Georges competitions, winning the first and finishing second in the next.

This fall, ridden by Lizzie Murray, he won an Advanced test with a score of 71.56, having
produced a relaxed, soft ride in a
snaffle bit (see pictures above)!
