"Cevin Z was the
most consistent 6
year old in the
country in 2003 and
with his impeccable
technique and scope
will go on to make a
top Grand Prix horse."
Quotation from
William Funnell
Cevin's mare Borough Pennyz has now moved up to Advanced level, finishing 7th at
Bramham CCI*** and 6th at Blenheim CCI*** in 2011 with rider Vittoria Pannizon, showing
that they not only have the jump, but the trainability/rideability to score in the low 30s in
their upper-level dressage tests. In addition, in 2008, 2009, and 2010, Cevin's young
show jumpers either won or had top placings in the British Young Horse Show Jumping
Championships, proving his consistency in producing top jumpers.

The Billy Stud has bred quite a number of exceptional young horses by Cevin, including
Billy On Show, Billy Laden, Billy Brass, and Billy Mexico who has been graded with AES
as Cevin's first licensed stallion son. William Funnell was also quoted in
Horse and
Hound
magazine as saying that a Cevin 4-yr-old, Billy Dinero, will be going for approval
as another stallion prospect and that "Dinero is talented and a laid-back sort who takes
everything in his stride", and that "These two [with Billy Um Bongo] are the most exciting
young horses we have bred since Billy Congo."

Cevin upgraded from Grade C to Grade A in one year. He was retired at International
level after a hind leg injury in the breeding shed. His most recent results from the fall of
2007 include:

CSI4* Chantilly FR - A4 - 4th place
CSI4* Chantilly FR - Accumulator - 6th place
CSIO4* Lisbon POR - Accumulator - 12th place
CSI3* Vimeriro POR - 2 Phase - 7th place
CSI3* Vimeriro POR - 2 Phase - 5th place

Cevin is now being ridden by a teenage boy in "Children on Horses" classes in the UK,
with great success. What an amazing stallion!
Cevin's first US foal,
out of an Advanced
Eventing mare, is now
co-owned by Meika
Decher and Denny
Emerson, who bought
half of this young colt
as a future stallion
prospect!
