Future Illusion
The owner of this exciting young stallion offered a fantastic deal to North American
breeders in 2010...time is running out to take advantage of this opportunity! His price will
go up significantly in 2011. The first dose of semen ranges from free (to 3*/4* mares) to
$250 for average mares! See
www.futuresporthorses.co.uk for the latest information on
competition results of both himself and his progeny.

USEF Leading Sires Lists
Check out the top eventing sires on the USEF lists...Catherston Dazzler, Catherston
Liberator, and Welton Double Cracker on all on there, based on their limited first foal crop
here! If you have a foal by an EMCO stallion, please let me know so I can make sure the
USEF has it linked up to the stallion correctly!

New Stallions
I have another shipment coming over from England this spring. The shipment will includes
semen from the exciting young stallion
Future Illusion. There is a lot of buzz about this
beautiful young horse, by our current stallion
Fleetwater Opposition and out of the top TBx
mare Future Illicit Affair. His first crops have been unbeatable in hand in the UK...and he is
showing tremendous promise as a competition horse with rider Jeanette Brakewell. Julia
Hodkin, his owner, is offering a terrific deal for North American breeders in 2010, with
graduated pricing starting at a free dose (for 3*/4* mares/producers). Please call or email
for more details; pricing is dependent upon the mare's competition record or her progeny's
competition record. The discounts are fantastic...the first dose of semen is not more than
$250!

We have a limited supply of semen for the beautifully bred Trakehner stallion
Hannibal
(AKA Godington's Hannibal). Trakehner breeders take note of this lovely boy. He's
licensed by the Trakehner Verband in Germany, so he's also of note for breeders who are
looking to lighten their heavier warmblood mares while staying within their registry (most of
the big warmblood registries offer reciprocity only for Verband-licensed Trakehners).

In addition to this news, a good friend of mine has asked me to help her get the word out to
eventing breeders about the availability of frozen semen for the Trakehner stallion
Grafenstolz. I hope to get his information added to my website soon; in the meantime, if
you are interested in breeding to this fantastic young stallion, give me a call or email me
and I can give you the details.

Attention!
The last doses of frozen semen available for the North American market for the stallion
Catherston Dazzler will be arriving shortly. If you are interested in breeding to him,
please contact me ASAP to reserve these (less than 10 doses).

Prices Dropped!
The price for frozen semen for the fantastic colored Grand Prix show jumper Utah Van
Erpekom
has been dropped, and steep discounts are available for quality mares.
Similarly, there are discounts available for most of our stallions...just ask!

2009 News
National
Well, like most of the country, 2009 wasn't a big year for us as far as sales go, but it was
still an exciting year. The first real crop of foals turned five years old in 2009, and so there
are finally more competition results to report. Aside from the Hunter Breeding results of
Zymphony (the lovely bay filly by Mersley Mon Capatain), who is steadily ticking up points
in her age classes each year (finishing 1st in Zone 2 in the Two-Year-Old Hunter Breeding
as well as winning the PHR class at Dressage at Devon!), we now have more youngsters
competing in eventing.

Courtney Cooper's attractive gelding
Star Dazzler is quite impressive as a five year old,
finishing 2nd in the East Coast YEH Championships with the best score over fences for
BOTH age groups, quite a feat! He's been steadily improving at Training Level as well this
year, and we're quite excited to see how he progresses in 2010.

Catherston Dazzler also has
Dekorum competing for owner Jane Rusconi. This mare was
produced via embryo transfer in 2002. She won two Preliminary classes in 2009 with
Michael Pollard, and upgraded to Intermediate at her last competition of the year. She had
a dressage score of 31.4 and had the fastest cross country clear of all Intermediate horses
to finish 2nd! There is a fantastic video of Dekorum on YouTube from her first Intermediate
run. Go to:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=km2AnYNO2RM

Yet another Dazzler foal, Bedazzled, is winning for owner/breeder Dr. Jennifer Miller in the
Beginner Novice classes. As a four-year-old, we think her dressage score of 27.9 is very
impressive!

Catherston Liberator has two horses competing in YEH classes for owner Jacqueline Mars:
Landmark's Cinco de Mayo and Landmark's Miss Liberty.

Welton Double Cracker has three horses competing in YEH classes. Jacqueline Mars has
Landmark's Sunday Storm, John and Dianne Pingree have Bally's Cracker (out of the
great mare Bally Mar), and the O'Connor Event Team have
Double Take.

Fleetwater Opposition has his first US foal competing in the YEH classes with
Lucid
Opposition
, competing with owner/breeder Jennifer McFall.

Of course, if you look at the year overall,
Fleetwater Opposition had a stunning year as
a sire, with the incredible success of
OPPOSITION BUZZ at Rolex and at the European
Championships (team pathfinder with a double clear on cross country, Team Gold Medal).
One of our past stallions,
Miner's Lamp, had continued success with the European Team
and Individual Gold Medallist
MINER'S FROLIC. Congrats to everyone who bred to him in
the past two years! And finally,
Jumbo's stellar mare HEADLEY BRITTANIA wowed
everyone at Rolex this year. Sadly, we are out of semen for both Miner's Lamp and Jumbo.

International
2009 was a very good year for CEVIN Z, whose first full crop of foals are reaching
competition age. Cevin is now owned by The Billy Stud (William Funnell), as his original
owner passed away in 2008. His first stallion son,
Billy Mexico, tied for first in the 4-yr-old
championships and should attend his AES inspection in the near future. An impressive
video of him freejumping is on YouTube. Two other 4-yr-olds,
Billy Manhattan and Co
Star II
tied for 2nd in the 4-yr-old championships. Billy Laden, a 6-yr-old son, finished
10th in the HOYS 6-yr-old championships (1m30). He also has a 7-yr-old son,
Billy On
Show
, who is on the Equine Pathway for the 2012 Olympics. And finally, I've found another
Cevin foal who is competing internationally for Ireland:
Valetto JX, ridden by David
Quigley. Valetto cannot be very old (most likely he's 7 years old), and is competing at
1m45, with an 18th place (4 faults) in the Welcome Stakes at this year's Horse of the Year
Show.

The colored stallion
UTAH VAN ERPEKOM has returned to competition after some time off
with good results at Britain's Horse of the Year Show, finishing 3rd in the 1m45 Vinopolis
Speed Horse of the Year class and 2nd in the 1m50 Sky Sports Trophy class.

ALDATO/N-ALDATO (confusing how breeder's are using both names for their foals!) had a
6-yr-old filly,
Celta Vigo, finish 6th in a 6/7 Year Old Final in Ireland. This filly was 5th in
the Irish rankings at the time. I somehow missed the fact that
Celta Vigo was selected by
the powers-that-be in Ireland to represent the country last year at the 2008 5-year-old
Young Horse Jumping Championships at Zangersheide! Very impressive!

Attention Past Breeders!
We need your help. We've discovered that the USEF Leading Sires standings does not
always automatically link the competing offspring with their sire, even when the sire is
correctly listed on the registration paperwork. I'm now trying to track down the competition
names for all offspring so I can verify that the USEF has them linked correctly to their sires
so everything will show up correctly. This is turning into a lot of work, and so if you have a
foal with a USEF number (lifetime or annual), please let me know the name and the USEF
number so I can make sure the sire is correctly linked to the foal! Thanks in advance for
your help with this!

Videos on YouTube
The stallion videos are now up on YouTube...just follow the stallion videos link on the list at
left, and then follow the directions with the YouTube link. All of the stallions for whom I have
a video are on YouTube. The videos are also available on DVD...just call me or send an
email and I'll send you one.

Leading Ladies Award at HITS Ocala
We are thrilled to announce that we have signed on to sponsor another embryo transfer
award in conjunction with the HITS Winter Circuit in Ocala. In 2008, the award was won by
Patoile, ridden by David Beisel, after being the highest placing mare in the 2008 $100,000
Deluca Toyota Tundra Grand Prix (finished 3rd). She produced an embryo in the spring of
2009 (after competing at HITS again in the Grand Prix classes), via frozen semen by the
great stallion For Pleasure. In 2009, the award was shared jointly by two mares. In 2010,
the highest earning mare from all of the Grand Prix classes at HITS Ocala will receive the
embryo transfer. For more information about this award, click
here.

PLEASE
do NOT use the names of the stallion's stud farm in the name of your US foal
without permission. These stud farms have spent years developing a reputation and have
their names licensed for exclusive use overseas. If you want to use the name "Catherston"
or "Welton" in your foal's name, PLEASE ask permission from the stud farm in the UK
before formalizing a name. Would you want someone using your farm name to advertise
their horses without your permission?
